  • ONE INGREDIENT

    Our wines contain natural grape juice only, nothing else. We refrain from any use of chemical additives or conventional methods.

  • 100% NATURAL

    We rely on spontaneous fermentation, we do not filter and do not add any sulphites nor any additives during winemaking process.

  • HANDCRAFTED

    Our grapes are solely harvested by hand. On the field and in the cellar, we work mainly with our hands and avoid the use of machinery.

  • SUSTAINABLE

    We produce around 2500 bottles a year to limit our carbon footprint and to emphasise the appreciation of each single drop of wine.

  • Our journey began in the vibrant summer of 2022, inspired by a passion for true artisanal winemaking. We set out with a clear mission: to create and promote exceptional natural wines that showcase the pure potential of “grape juice” without any additives or oenological interventions.

    Together with renowned natural winegrowers, we design curated collections that highlight the beauty and complexity of unadulterated wine. each bottle we produce is a testament to the art of natural winemaking, reflecting our commitment to quality and authenticity.

  • We are neither traditional winemaker nor wine dealer; we are both. By collaborating with natural winegrowers, we craft unique and exceptional natural wines. These partnerships result in a single capsule collection, showcasing diversity and complexity beyond the known product range. Every wine in our collection is specially developed for capsule, and we support our winegrowers during the harvest, cellar work, and bottling to guarantee independent product quality.

  • I am Daniel, 32, and I fell in love with natural wines almost a decade ago. Formerly working for a consulting firm, my path took a transformative turn when I married into a Belgian/French natural winegrower family. This introduction to the rich tradition and craftsmanship involved in producing natural wines opened pandora’s box for me, revealing the complexities and challenges of creating the highest quality natural wines - without resorting to chemicals in the fields or the winemaking process.

    With hands-on experience gained from working several seasons at the family’s vineyard in Southern France, I deepened my understanding and appreciation for natural winemaking. Complementary, I pursued formal education as Assistant Sommelier (IWI) and achieving WSET Level 2 certification. I am currently enrolled in WSET level 3.

    Driven by passion and a commitment to excellence, I founded CAPSULE with a heartfelt mission: to make outstanding natural wine accessible to all and to champion the integrity and greatness of the purest natural wines. With the first collection, “The Splash of a Drop,” I would like to express my thanks and appreciation to Luc and Trees, who have supported me on this journey and made this first collection possible. With Capsule, I want to share my love for natural wine and promote its unique qualities to enthusiasts and newcomers.
